Pray & Connect

  • That God would continue to call and develop indigenous missionaries to reach the unreached. And that those on the front lines would be strengthened and equipped for the challenges they face.
  • That God would continue to connect RothemHouse to those indigenous missionaries in need of refreshment and spiritual encouragement and equip us at RothemHouse to serve these missionaries well.
  • That God would bless our new location for RothemHouse at Kigwa Farm and grow His ministry there. May RothemHouse be filled with His presence and may all who visit be filled with His peace during their stay.
  • That our family would grow closer and more reliant on our savior, Jesus, and be strengthened against spiritual attacks.

How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!” - Romans 10:14-15

Our Story

We are long-term missionaries in Nairobi, Kenya with a gifting and calling to equip, refresh and connect indigenous, east-african, Christian missionaries and their families through hospitality, leadership training and pastoral care so that they may increase in capacity to share the good news of Jesus Christ.

Rebecca is passionate about hospitality and missionary care and has formal training in pastoral care. She is refreshed by spending time outdoors with God, enjoying nature, and enjoys serving through discipleship and prayer with other women. She has creative flair, loves to cook, and is talented in creating welcoming and festive events through her organizational skills, sense of style, and attention to detail.

Rebecca's husband is passionate about leadership development and connecting organizations and people to enable the further spread of the gospel. He has a servant heart and a generous spirit. He is a visionary who lives by Eph. 3:20, trusting God to do more than we can ask or imagine through the power of His Spirit. In his free time he thoroughly likes DIY repairs and building things.

Our daughters Annabel, Siddalee and Callulah love playing and reading, and are flourishing and enjoying Kenya. It has been an answer to prayer to see their curiosity and love for Kenya grow in such a short time. All three attend school and are very active and nature-loving girls. They are doing wonderfully in school and connect well with local and international children. They all enjoy singing, music, crafts, and swimming, and have already shown the gift of hospitality as they welcome children of all ages joyfully into our home.

We are Jesus-loving, fun-loving, and people-loving, and although each of us in our family is uniquely made with different gifts, we feel most connected as a family, and to God’s purpose for us, when we are engaged in hospitality and our home is filled with others.
